Aboitiz Group, through its construction arm Aboitiz Construction, Inc. (ACI) is one of the biggest employers of Filipino skilled workers posting 6,598 jobs in 2018 and foresees hiring 4,000 more in 2019 to meet job orders and contracted projects both for its local and international clients. About eighty-five percent of these jobs are mobilized for its Visayas and Mindanao operations.

ACI visits Japan’s major companies

The group met with Wakachiku Construction Ltd., Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. (NSENGI), Hitachi Zosen Corporation, Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Toshiba), and Japan Gas Corporation (JGC) to discuss various construction opportunities and, likewise, personally thank the companies for projects that have been successfully completed.

Aboitiz Construction visits China

Aboitiz Construction (ACI) recently visited two large companies in China to explore business opportunities to partner for power projects, as well as other infrastructure projects in the Philippines under the Build, Build, Build Program of the government. The team toured the offices of Shandong Electric Power Construction Corporation III (SEPCO3) and Dongfang Electric Company (DEC), located in Chengdu and Qingdao, respectively.

ACI toasts partners on Vendors’ Night 2017

Aboitiz Construction held its first Vendors’ Night on April 25 as a way of expressing appreciation for the many years of support extended by suppliers and subcontractors. The special dinner was attended by 41 suppliers from Visayas and Mindanao, represented by 61 owners and key personnel. A separate appreciation event for Luzon suppliers will be held.

ACGI joins NSEBIO pilot plant inauguration

The 2,400-square-meter facility was built by Aboitiz Construction and aimed at helping reduce global warming while improving food security. Owned by Central Azucarera De Don Pedro, a subsidiary of Roxas Holdings, Inc., the project is also under the Japanese government’s national program towards developing low carbon technology.

Construction business reaffirms ISO standards

Following a five-day surveillance audit, Aboitiz Construction Aboitiz Construction Group, Inc. (ACGI) has retained its ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System/QMS), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System/EMS), and British Standard for OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety) 18001:2007 certifications.
